ADAPTABILITY

Communities expand and city boundaries change and with it, a utility needs to be able to quickly adapt to ensure customers have power where and when they need it.  Utilities that own their own private network can decide where, when coverage is needed.

GridCom™ is a standards-based, scalable network architecture enabling deployments over large geographical areas with varied topologies.  It can be configured to utilize unlicensed or licensed spectrum and easily integrates with existing WAN network infrastructures such as fiber or WiMax for backhaul to a utility’s core network, as well as standards-based metering networks.  As communities expand network nodes are added and instantly mesh with nodes already in place, simplifying network expansion to increase coverage area or capacity.

Adaptability

Mobile network nodes can be installed in utility vehicles to expand network coverage areas when workers go to areas that may have sparse network coverage.
