Senior Software Engineer

We seek a senior network management engineer to join our innovative team building large scale wireless solutions. Our Network Management System is capable of managing large scale deployments with a wide range of applications including Smart Grid Distribution Automation, Advanced Metering Infrastructure and Mobile Workforce. The system supports full FCAPS capability with advanced management and monitoring tools for in-depth network analysis and for sophisticated provisioning methods.  

• Drive major design decisions of NMS scalability architecture and functionality.
• Define key requirements, architect and implement solutions.
• Investigate new technologies.
• Help drive effective processes, design and coding standards for software development.
• Work closely with product management, system test and customer service.

Requirements

• Ph.D./MS in CS/EE, 10+ years experience with element managers, NMS and OSS on the Linux platform.
• Track record designing and delivering network management systems that scale to 10s of thousands of devices.
• Proficiency in Java, HTML, Perl, JSP, AJAX, XML/SOAP, web services and distributed technologies.
• Proficiency with database design, information models, MySQL, Oracle.
• Excellent OO development skills, as demonstrated by experience designing large scale systems.
• Familiarity with modern agile development methodologies and practices.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• A high degree of self-motivation and flexibility.
• Ability to effectively organize and prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability and willingness to proactively interact and achieve exceptional results in a dynamic small company environment
